The soul behind kaya noctis

Hey, I’m Laura

I live in Switzerland, where I work as a painter and decorator. Alongside my job, I make jewelry in my little home studio, it’s where I can get lost in the details trying out ideas and slowly turning them into pieces I can hold and wear.

Art has been part of every chapter of my life, though the way I create has changed over the years. It gives me a way to express myself, slow down and feel grounded. My journey into jewelry making began during my travels, when I joined a macramé workshop in India. I enjoyed it so much that I bought my own materials and kept going. Soon, I was making jewelry wherever I could sit down, carrying my supplies from one place to the next.

Later, in South America, I discovered wire wrapping and was immediately fascinated by how a simple piece of wire could become so many different things. I bought a few tools and some wire and started experimenting and teaching myself as I went. I was hooked from the beginning. Every new thing I learned gave me more ideas, and it felt like there was no end to what I could explore. I came home with countless memories and a new passion that has stayed with me ever since.

I work intuitively, making each piece by hand with copper wire and natural stones. Rather than following a fixed design, I let the stone guide me and see where the process takes me. Each piece develops in its own way, through hours of shaping, weaving and bringing the details together.

Jewelry has helped me become more confident in what I like and more comfortable showing it. Both creating my own pieces and wearing them have been part of that. I hope my jewelry helps you feel that same confidence - to wear what you love and be unapologetically yourself.

Welcome to my world
